  7. With ICS you can make your scans look like from the professionals.
  8. By using ICS scan quality is DRAMATICLY(!) improved without
  9. requiring the user to manualy adjust scan colors while scanning.
  10. ICS can also convert gray/RGB/CMYK images between various formats
  11. (TIFF, JPEG, IFF, PNG,...) and add things like IPTC and ICC
  12. information.

  14. ICS already is directly supported by ScanQuix, ScanTrax and
  15. ImageFX and more.  Other scanner drivers authors will soon add
  16. direct ICS support to their scanner drivers.  But ICS can also
  17. work independent of any specific scanner software using a
  18. stand-alone image file converter.

  21. ICS does work in 3 steps:
  22.  
  23.  - You do scan a calibration target with your scanner software
  24.    and use the incl. ScanTarget programm to create a profile
  25.    for your scanner.
  26.  
  27.  - You do select your monitor or standard (PAL, sRGB, NTSC,...)
  28.    you want to color correct the scan for.
  29.  
  30.  - Now all scans with your scanner software will be color corrected
  31.    automaticly.

  36. Note that the LE version here on AmiNet is crippled because of

  48.             of a line may be prompted for each line of

  51. - Changed:  IRW Library Update to V1.06 (07.11.01):
  52.              + Possible Enforcer hit(s) when trying to
  53.                load unsupported file formats. A pointer to
  54.                the filename used in the error message may
  55.                be wrong. Fixed.
  56.              + PNG code updated from pnglib 1.0.9rc2 to 1.2.0.  
  57.              + TIFF code updated based on changes made from
  58.                libtiff 3.5.5 to 3.5.9beta.
  59.              + Major speed improvement in TIFF handling of
  60.                uncompressed images saved in a single strip.
  61.                Speed is still not optimal, but many times
  62.                faster now...
  63.              + MacBinary files now work with TIFF, GIF and JPEG.
  64.                Other formats not yet supported but format
  65.                type 'MacBinary + xxxx Data' will be reported to user.
  66.                In this case people can strip the first 128 bytes
  67.                of the file using a MacBinary tool...
